Hulk Smash...

So if the title didn't give it away, I saw the new Hulk movie last night...and I had a good time watching it.  I thought the cast was good and I also enjoyed the plot.  It was cool how they used the premise of the old TV show, Bruce Banner on the run from the government who was hunting him to use his blood to create a super soldier serum.  Edward Norton always adds a little something extra to a movie, there's just something about him and the way he carries himself.  Now, it wasn't a ground breaker by any means, or better than Iron Man, but it was a good character builder for the upcoming Avengers movie, which should be amazing...once they finish the other 3 big movies (Captain America, Thor, Antman).  I do enjoy how they are tying all these movies together too, creating the Marvel universe now instead of having to explain it for 30 minutes of an Avengers movie.

In real world news, I've been on a cleaning kick around the apartment, moving things around and vacuuming and dusting.  I guess my thought process is that this mess has me in a funk.  I'm hoping once I get this place all cleaned up and the way I want it to look it will be more comfortable to live in and I will be a happier person.  I know it seems strange because I'll be moving in a month and half, or so.  But why not be happy while I'm still here, I just need to finish school and my internship and I'm out.

p.s. That picture was taken by my phone while driving down my road and I think it's amazing, it's pictures like this that make me appreciate where I grew up...but the city calls.

This movie looks hilarious...

So Bill Maher, who I've had a love/hate relationship with since I first saw his show back in the 90's has this movie coming out called Religulous (not misspelled).  It's basically just him going around and questioning the beliefs of...believers.  Anyhow, you should click on the link I posted on this bad boy and watch the trailer, and if you like what you see, you should see it with me when it comes out...because religion makes for a good comedy.

I told you this blog wasn't going to involve anything groundbreaking...Stay tuned for more awesome nothingness...

I'll have the Machete with a side of Bullets please...

Well, I've been on a movie watching kick the past few days and I've caught up on Indiana Jones 4, Iron Man, Semi-Pro, The Golden Compass, and of course Rambo.

All the movies had something to offer, whether it be Indy's wit and badass nature or Iron Man's wit and badass nature.  Semi-Pro had it's moments that had me laughing real hard, but I don't feel it was Will Ferrell's best work.  The Golden Compass had real cool futuristic look to but still had an old timey quality.  The CGI "demons" were kind of annoying at times, but the story was pretty cool and Daniel Craig (James Bond) was awesome for the short time he was in the movie.

And now, the most ridiculously over the top, murder filled, mumble fest I have ever seen...Rambo.  It starts out with carnage and then has a little lull as we see John Rambo catching snakes and mumbling some dialect.  The movie starts to set it self up with the missionary people who want into Burma, which is a war zone.  After some pussyfooting around the issue, Rambo says he will take them to Burma on his fishing boat.  They encounter pirates...this is when we first see the Rambo we know and love, he fucks shit up, blowing heads right off, as John Travolta would say he had a "hand cannon."  Blah, Blah, Blah, missionaries get blown to pieces, lose legs, get captured, Rambo escorts a group of mercenaries into the region to extract missionaries.  They don't want Rambo to help, he kills 4 men with a bow and arrows, they now want his help.  They extract the missionaries from the army base, which leads to a big chase scene in the jungle and a final showdown...Holy Fuck, sorry for the profanity but that's what I said aloud when Rambo opened fire with the turret gun, legs blasted off, see through holes in peoples chests, heads disintegrated...hundreds of men die in this scene alone, it's fucking ridiculous, and it's not just assuming 100 men die, you watch every damn one, and it's not just Rambo killing, it's the cool sniper dude with his rail gun, and all the surviving mercs.  Then it ends with Rambo finally going home.

I need to get a hobby, I know I said it before but seriously, I can't be watching movies all the time...unless I was rich...I think I found my hobby, money collecting.  Well, until I find something new to write about, enjoy the heat wave and don't forget your sunblock.

Morning Scrabble and Drew Carey...

What the hell am I doing with myself...this is going to be a long summer.  I'm sitting here playing scrabble on Facebook (which is fun, feel free to challenge me) and watching the Price Is Right.  I feel like this may be my summer fun.  I don't move until August and until then I will be taking classes twice a week all summer while working at the Dairy Queen 30 hours a week.

Maybe I'll try and start something new and exciting, either a ritual or a way to make some cash, but I need to find something to pass the time.  If you read this and have some cool ideas to throw at me, feel free to do so, I'll take anything right now.  But as for right this moment, it's time to get ready for school, 3 hours of class followed by a 2 hour break and then another 3 hours of class.  It's not al that bad though, good teachers, interesting subjects (for the most part) and breaks in the middle help split it all up.

This post is going nowhere fast, so I'm going to call it quits for now, later today I'm going to post my first ever movie reviews for Iron Man and Indiana Jones...so stay tuned for that nonsense.  Tell all your friends to come here and read about my life, it's the least exciting excitement you'll get all day, and it's free.
